»Building with Privacy by Design«

Our inboxes were overflowing with new Terms & Conditions emails this spring: GDPR came into full-force effect in May. How can developers move forward and build with best practice and privacy by design principles?
Many of the GDPR talks are from a legal standpoint, outlining responsibilities and duties at a high-level that is very abstract. This talk offers 7 principles for developers to use for implementing privacy by design, with concrete examples. Principles include, for example, user-centricity (which many of us are already familiar with but might need some new focus on) and what it means to build with end-to-end security over the lifecycle of data (how long we keep information and what our mechanisms are to destroy it, as well as collect and move it).
